Lighthouse Group began in 2015 when Mandy brought her nonprofit background into the insurance industry. Learning health insurance from the ground up gave her a perspective that still influences the business today: complicated coverage doesn't need a complicated explanation.
As the client base grew, Mandy's husband, DJ, joined the business as co-owner and advisor. Today, Lighthouse Group remains independent, allowing the team to compare options from multiple insurance companies rather than being limited to a single carrier.
That independence is paired with something equally important: communication. Clients should understand what they're considering, why the details matter, and who to contact when questions come up.

Our mission is to give individuals, families, and business owners clear information and thoughtful guidance as they consider their insurance options. That means listening first, explaining coverage in everyday language, comparing available options, and helping each client make an informed decision based on their needs.
We strive to be a blessing to everyone who comes to us for help, whether or not they become a client. We’ll always share what we believe is best for you, even if that means you don’t do business with us. Insurance can be complicated. Working with your insurance broker shouldn’t be.

Mandy entered the insurance industry in 2015 after working in the nonprofit sector. Having learned health insurance from the ground up, she brings that same clear, step-by-step approach to helping individuals, families, and small business owners understand their options.
Community involvement has also been an important part of Mandy’s life. She served for many years as a 4-H leader and previously served on a local school board. She holds a degree in Music Therapy from Charleston Southern University.
Now an empty nester, Mandy spends her free time embracing new adventures, including motorcycling and Jiu-Jitsu. She also makes regular trips to Fort Collins to visit two of her sons.

DJ joined Lighthouse Group as the business and client base continued to grow. He works with clients across health insurance, Medicare, life insurance, and disability coverage, helping them look at multiple insurance needs in one place.
Before joining Lighthouse Group, DJ ran an irrigation business for many years. He holds a degree in Aviation Science from Metropolitan State University of Denver and also leads tours with Colorado Motorcycle Adventures.
Outside of work, DJ is usually finding a reason to be outdoors. He enjoys moto camping in the mountains and cheering on his sons at motocross races and Western Colorado University football games.
DJ Kobilan, Co-Owner & Advisor
Rose joined Lighthouse Group in 2026, bringing years of customer service experience to the team. She supports both clients and staff, including during the busy open enrollment season, and focuses on making every interaction feel friendly, helpful, and easy to navigate.
Rose is also Mandy’s cousin and part of the family behind Lighthouse Group. She holds a degree in Hospitality from Ferris State University, which reflects her natural focus on service and creating a positive experience for others.
Outside of work, Rose is a proud mom of two children under 10, who are the center of her world.
